About us
Saint Francis Hospice has been providing specialist palliative care to terminally ill people for 35 years and has rapidly grown into one of the largest adult hospices in England. We support nearly one million people living in Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge, Brentwood and West Essex.

In the last 15 years patient numbers have nearly doubled and to meet this growth the hospice now employs more than 180 clinical staff, consisting of nurses, doctors and specialist care staff, supported by more than 100 non-clinical staff and 800 volunteers.

Our holistic approach to palliative care makes Saint Francis Hospice a vital and unique local service. All our services are provided free of charge and we rely on support from our community to continue our work.

Historic Roses Group
The Historic Roses Group visited Saint Francis Hospice in July 2019 and the visitors were incredibly impressed with the collection of roses the Hospice boasts.  The Historic Roses Group was founded over a quarter of a century ago in 1990 by members of the Royal National Rose Society and recognises the importance of unique and beautiful older roses.

Find out more about the Historic Roses Group on their website.
